When they ask you, "I have good news and bad news, which one do you want first?" We instinctively ask for the bad news first, because we hope that the good news after, would bring color to the gloom. The same is true for the red flags we ignore in love. We see them, they are oftentimes undoubtedly glaring. But we choose to see and believe only the things we want. The rude comments our lover makes, we pass them for a bad day. The change in communication pattern, we accost them to stress or busyness from work. When you complain that they stopped being sweet, they claim that they should be the one being pampered. And you rethink and agree. The monosyllables and the way they often walk away while you're still talking. Even when they give a cheek instead of lips to a kiss, we pass it that we hesitated first or did something.
